Clinica Tepeyac receives $45,000 through Denver Post Season To Share, a McCormick Foundation Fund, to support our ability to provide access to to health care for uninsured Denver community members, during a reception held on Monday, April 26. Dr. Jim Williams named CCMU Physician of the Year
Dr. Jim Williams was recently named the 2009 Physician of the Year by the Colorado Coalition for the Medically Underserved (CCMU). The CCMU gave the award to Dr. Williams in recognition of his dedication to providing high quality health care to the medically underserved. The Colorado Health Foundation awarded $150,000 for our Prenatal Program, Mental Health Services Expansion and Diabetes Retinopathy Program. TCHF's mission is to improve the health and health care of Coloradans by increasing access to quality health care and encouraging healthy lifestyle choices.Avon Foundation Breast Care Fund
Avon Foundation Breast Care Fund awarded $35,400 to our Breast Health Educational Outreach Program. The mission of the AFBCF is to link medically underserved women to breast health education and screening services. Medically underserved women need targeted, customized approaches that enable them to obtain regular mammograms and clinical breast exams. Latino Community Foundation of Colorado & Hispanics in Philanthropy
Latino Community Foundation of Colorado & Hispanics in Philanthropy extended funding for another year for $7,500. The Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC) was formed in 2007 to be a resource to the community and a catalyst for positive change.LCFC is an initiative of Hispanics in Philanthropy, The Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation, Rose Community Foundation and Western Union Foundation. New Born Hope awarded $5,000. This Colorado nonprofit, based in Colorado Springs, is dedicated to the improvement of the lives of babies. Caring for Colorado
The $50,000 CFC grant supports the clinic’s Prenatal Care Program enabling Bi-lingual nurse midwives provide care at Clinica through one-on-one patient visits and group education programs. The grant will help provide prenatal care and deliveries for 300 women, most of whom would not otherwise receive adequate prenatal care. SmartWool Advocacy Fund Recipient - Summer 2009
